Spring Fishing Yields Big Black Snapper on Six Hour Charter in Orange Beach

The winds were calm and so were the seas this week when we went offshore on a 6 hour deep sea fishing charter. We were just south of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, fishing a large structure that has been known to hold large fish during the early part of the season. The gulf waters were clear and visibility was close to 30 feet downward. We had spade fish swimming around the boat when this large Black Snapper came up and took the bait. We were just sitting there bottom fishing with whole squid when this big smart fish snatched the bait and high tailed it down toward the safety of the artificial reef. This time of the year is usually windy, but we caught the seas just right and had a four day window to get some spring breakers out on the water. The Spanish mackerel are moving through and there should be plenty after the gill netters get through. Now is the time to be making your plans on getting your deep sea fishing schedule ready. Remember, Distraction Charters does not take a deposit like other charters and marinas do. You get to keep your money in your pocket until the day of your charter fishing trip in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
