Orange_Beach_Spring_Break_Deep_Sea_Fishing_March_19_2011

So far this Spring Break has been wonderful in Orange Beach. Distraction headed offshore for a full day charter to catch some deep water Amberjack. We fished in close to catch some trigger fish and vermilion snapper to ensure we had a few fish for supper in case the big ones did not bite. We caught some nice size Trigger Fish that were close to 7 pounds each before we went to the 200′ water. As the day progressed, deep sea fishing slowed down about 1030 am because of the full moon last night. We worked hard to get a bite but the Amberjacks were not interested. Kevan hooked up with a Jig and told him to got after it. It did not take long before the Jacks started firing off and biting. We were ready and everyone on the charter boat Distraction had a chance to catch at least two jacks each. We had to release the smaller ones but they were all about 28 inches each. The ones we kept were all around 32 to 35 inches or about 25 to 30 pounds each.
