Cook Your Catch

Restaurant Will Cook Your Fresh Catch

One of the most popular things local restaurants do for anglers is cook their fresh caught fish.   That is right.  The terms used are “Hook and Cook” and “Fresh Catch.”   This simply means when you go deep sea fishing in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, the local restaurant will prepare your fresh caught fish for you.

The way it works is, your deckhand will take the extra time and remove every bone in your fresh caught fish and prepare them for the chef at the restaurant.   The fish you can have prepared and cooked are red snapper, scamp grouper, red grouper, gag grouper, triggerfish, wahoo, king mackerel, spanish mackerel, greater amberjack, almaco jack, mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, speckled trout, flounder, redfish, black or mangrove snapper, tomtate and vermilion snapper.   No matter what you catch, we have a local chef in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores prepare it for you.

Many chefs prepare your fish fried, grilled, blackened or broiled.   Some also give you the option to have the fish covered with a succulent pontchartrain sauce.

What fresh catch includes and costs!

Normally, the fee per person is around $18 to $20 per person, if you provide the protein.   Most of the time, the restaurant will provide up to 2 side orders at no additional cost.   Drinks and Beverages are extra.
